On the occasion of International Women's day (8.3.2015- Sunday) Department of Political Science and Public Administration organised screening of a biographic movie 'Mary Kom' based on true life of World boxing Champion and Olympic Medal winner Mary Kom on 9.3.2015. The program started with offering of flowers to the founder of the University Dr Hari Singh Gour. Head of Department Dr Anupma Kaushik briefed the audience that the purpose of the movie was to generate awareness among the students about the aspirations and problems faced by women in India. The movie was second screening under edutainment program.The department will continue to screen more movies in future to educate students through entertainment. The screening was followed by a discussion on the issue in which Dr Anupma Kaushik, Dr Afreen Khan, Akshay Jain, Archita Singh, Rajendra Lodhi and forty students participated. The program was conducted by research scholar Akshay Jain.
The program was preceded by a power point presentation by research scholar Archita Singh on 'Issues faced by Working Women in India'.
