National Seminar completed successfully in the Dept of Political Science and Public Administration

 National Seminar on Gender, Power and Patriarchy and Status of Women in India was organized successfully on 25 and 26 February 2016. In the inaugration session chief guest was Mrs Lata Wankhede (Chairperson of State Women Commission) and Key note address was delivered by Prof Udai Jain (former Vice Chancellor of APS University Rewa). Presidential address was delivered by Acting Vice Chancellor Prof M S Tiwari, vote of thanks was delivered by Dean HSS Prof Diwakar Sharma and Director of seminar Dr anupma Kaushik welcomed all the guests and participants and briefed them about theme of the seminar. First technical session was on Women Empowerment and Political Participation. Session was chaired by Prof R N Yadav (Director R&D)and keynote speaker was Prof Pratibha Pandey (Dean SES) and secssion was cochaired by Dr Seema Choudhary- a political activist from Sagar. In the session many papers were presented including that of Mr Budh Singh, Dr Sarraf and Dr Neha Niranjan. Second Technical session was chaired by Prof Chanda Ben (HoD Hindi) and cochaired by Prof Varsha Sharma (HoD Zoology) and Keynote address was delivered by Dr Hitendra Singh Rathore of Banasthali University, Rajasthan. In this session many papers were presented including that of Dr Reena Basu , Mr Akshay Jain and Mr Manoj Pankaj. Third technical session on Gender, Law and Violence was chaired by Prof P P Singh (Hod Law)and co chaired by Dr Anupma Kaushik and Keynote address was delivered by Prof S K Sharma from Chaoudhary Charan Singh University Meerut UP. Many papers were presented in this session including that by Dr Anupma Pandit Saxena, Ms Archita, Ms Pallavi and Dr Anupma Kaushik. Session IV was on Gender and Education and was chaired by Prof Nivedita Maitra (HoD English)and cochaired by Dr D S Rajput and keynote wsa delivered by Dr Rudrashish Chakraborty of Delhi University and Dr Sanjay Sharma. Session V was on Gender, Media, Culture and Literature and keynote was delivered by eminent writer Dr Sharad Singh of Sagar and session was chaired by Prof Diwakar Sharma (HoD Sociology) and cochaired by Prof Lalait Mohan 9HoD Fine Arts).  Many papers were presented including that of Dr Aleem Khan, Dr Rashmi Singh, Dr Vandana Rajoriya, Dr Afreen Khan, Dr Radhika (IGNOU) etc. Valedictory session was chaired by Registrar Prof J D Ahi and keynote was delivered by Prof Nandita Narayan of Delhi University, valedictory note was delivered by Prof Diwakar Sharma  and special message was given by Prof R A Singh (Director DOAA). Report was presented by Dr Afreen Khan and vote of thanks wsa delivered by Dr Anupma Kaushik. In various sessions vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Pankaj Singh, Dr Neha Niranjan, Dr Janardan, Mr Jainth. Inaugral session was conducted by Dr Ashutosh Mishra   and valedictory session was conducted by Dr A S Khan. More than hundred students and faculty members participated in the seminar.
